Egyptian singer Hakim has proudly announced that he is expecting his first born child from his second wife Jihan in mid-September. The singer has expressed he joy at being a father to a third child and has stressed that he intends on completing the recording of his upcoming album as quick as possible in order to stand by his wife while his new baby comes into the world.
The singer added that along with his new album, he is preparing for a big surprise that is sure to satisfy his fans, reported the Egyptian weekly, Al Nogoom. Hakim said that the music industry will soon witness a new duet by him and American singer James Brown that will blend Western and Eastern styles in one. After countless negotiations, Hakim had finally struck a deal with Brown and the two agreed on singing the duet under the title “Al Lail” (Night), which is scheduled to be released in the very near future.
Due to the lack of having enough time to perform the song together, James has recorded his section of the song in studios in San Francisco California, and Hakim in Cairo Egypt. The song is written by Hisham Abdul Rahim and composed by Mohammad Siraj.
It was revealed that singer will soon begin preparing for another duet with American singer Steve Wonder, and will travel to the US to record the song. Recently, Hakim had announced in a press conference held in Doha-Qatar that he has reached an agreement for a duet with US pop singer Brian Adams and Latino pop singer Paulina Rubio for a duet and is currently in negotiation to hold a third duet with US pop star Janet Jackson. Hakim held previous negotiations with singer Latoia Jackson for a duet but nothing came of it.
Previously, a Cairo court verdict has sentenced Hakim to pay for his children’s yearly school tuition and a monthly child support and alimony of 5 thousand Egyptian pounds. The court order came after Marwa Ibrahim, Hakim’s first wife, filed a lawsuit demanding that the singer pay support for her and his children and stating that he has been escaping from paying one dime since their separation, and after a long cycle of fighting and lawsuits, Egyptian singer Hakim and Marwa had decided to call it a truce and drop all charges they had against one another. The couple felt that their ongoing disputes have negatively affected their two children and so decided the only solution was to drop charges putting an end to all the commotion.
Despite the fact that Marwa had agreed to drop the charges she had against Hakim, one lawsuit remained which she refused to overlook. Marwa felt that she could not go back on her previous decision for a divorce. Her mind was made up and she could not continue with Hakim under any circumstance.
Marwa made it clear to the court that she has never left her home or children and the fact was that Hakim has deserted her and their family to live with his second wife. She added that the singer does not even answer or return the calls made to him by his two children, in addition to his refusal to pay alimony and child support.
Hakim's wife filed for the divorce in November last year, following her husband's act of betrayal with his so-called second wife. Marwa expressed resentment to her husband's 'unbearable' acts, which started a year ago with his frequent absence from home.
