Egyptian actor Hani Ramzi has expressed extreme anger towards all cinema houses in Egypt for removing the screening of his summer hit movie “Awiz Ha'ei" (I Want My Share) despite the fact that it has already brought in a profit of over 4 million Egyptian pounds. The movie was taken off due to the fact that there are so many new summer movies, leaving no room for any one film to stay at a cinema house for too long.
According to the London based magazine, Laha, Ramzi stressed that the existence of so many new films at one time looses any real value a film may have. He added that producers and directors should not release all the films at once but rather give each its fair chance of being screened at cinema houses in order to cover expenses and bring in profits.
The film had at one point faced major problems during the first weeks of shooting scenes, when Hani discovered that the scenes filmed had major technical problems that could not be fixed forcing them to restart everything all over.
Hani had said regretfully that the disaster which amounts to a loss of over half a million Egyptian pounds, means rebuilding the sets that were destroyed after filming, buying extra films, and prolonging the time previously scheduled to complete the work.
The film finally went into action after it has been postponed for the past three years for a number of reasons. The film will mark the first directing experience for Ahmad Nader Jalal, who is son of the prominent director Nader Jalal. Young Tunisian actress Hind will co-star with Hani Ramzi and Anam Salouseh in the film. She was chosen for her role among a number of Egyptian actresses for her outstanding performance in her previous films. –Albawaba.com
