Egyptian singer Hani Shaker has announced that his first stop after going back on a previous decision to end his singing career will be in Australia where he is scheduled to hold two concerts, one in Sydney and the other in Melbourne. The singer will be performing for the Arab population in Australia that had expressed its admiration with Hani’s voice and his music, reported the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat.

Hani has revealed that upon his return from Australia he will begin shooting a new music for the song “Habib Ainie” (My Love), which is one of the songs from his latest album. Shaker has gone back on a previous sudden decision to quit his singing career and resign from the entertainment world, after receiving a number of calls from prominent figures upon his previous announcement trying hard to convince him to return to his career and take all thoughts of quitting out of his head. The singer was also given promises that all complications will be removed in order to ensure his path is clear.

Hani announced that he will hold a press conference in the upcoming week in which he will reveal the reasons that have led him to seriously think of resigning and end his music career. The singer has stressed that he will make this dramatic move despite the enormous popularity he has enjoyed throughout his career.

One of the reasons that have led up to Shaker’s decision is the fact that his latest album did not receive its fair share of advertising throughout the Arab world. The singer was in shock while he was on tour to Jordan, Syria, and Tunisia to see that his production company, Alam El Phan, had neglected to post any advertisements for his album and had only focused their attention on Egyptian singer Angham’s release. Hani was furious that his album was released in such a way making it loose any significance it may have.

Shaker stressed that the contract between him and Muhsin Jaber, owner of Alam El Phan, clearly states that with every new release a specific budget must be made for an advertising campaign, a matter which Muhsin neglected focusing his efforts elsewhere. Hani noted that Muhsin’s war with Egyptian singer Amr Diab has caused him to neglect all the singers that belong to his company, in turn negatively affecting them.

On his part, Muhsin denied the existence of any kind of dispute with Hani saying that his company did not neglect the singer and on the contrary they have provided him with a huge advertising campaign, in addition to a music video that cost the company over 600 thousand Egyptian pounds. Muhsin added that he had personally traveled to France with Hani to ensure that the video is up to standards.

Muhsin revealed that the reasons behind Hani’s allegations is the fact that his contract with the company is nearing its end and the singer intends on signing a new contract with Rotana Music Company, and simply wants to create a commotion. He added that Hani’s jealousy towards Angham has led him to say that more attention was focused on her and his fear that the new generation of singers will steal some of his spotlight, especially since he has come to repeat his old style in his songs is another reason why he would think of resigning.

Hani released his latest album “Bahibak Ya Ghali” (I Love You My Dear), but no significant success was witnessed due to the lack of proper advertising throughout the Arab world. The matter has led the singer to fall into a state of utter despair and in turn making him want to end his career. –Albawaba.com
