Turkish actor Can Yaman posted a quote via Instagram Stories shortly after Bay Yanlış (Mr. Wrong) series director Deniz Yorulmazer announced the end of it.
The director wrote: "Thanks to everyone who has been with us since day one. With love, the whole team" announcing that the show is over.
Meanwhile, Can wrote: "We are used to blossoming beautifully but we were buried in the wrong soil."
Fans understood that Yaman's comment was aimed at the production company.
At first, there were speculations that Mr. Wrong has been suspended after a crew member's sibling had tested positive for Coronavirus, causing panic among the rest of team members, and prompting the production company to release a statement to reassure that all precautions are taken and that they renewed Covid-19 tests for all the cast and crew of the series.
However, it turned out that the virus was not the reason for suspending the series, but it was the low ratings and viewership of the romance- comedy show, according to Milliyet newspaper.
Mr. Wrong will bid farewell to screens on episode 14 that will air on Friday, October 3rd.
