Iraqi artist Hatelm Al Iraqi who is residing in the United Arab Emirate had a collection of his songs stolen, which were from his old albums and had been combined in one album. Hatem’s picture was placed on the Album and the word “Al Ghali” (The Priceless) was written on the cover of the album.
Hatem said that whoever had stolen the songs and placed them in one album wanted to anticipate the fans into thinking that the album is a new release. He added that the forged album has songs that were among the first songs which he performed 15 years ago.
According to the London daily Elaph, this reaction had gotten Hatem very furious. He revealed that he is still working on his new and upcoming album and is recording it at studios in the Arab world that have the latest technology systems. He said that he worked with some of the greatest poets, composers and music distributers in Iraq and the Gulf countries. Hatem stated that the album is in its final stages and will see the light soon.
On the other hand, Hatem questions to how could a production company release such albums without getting rights from the singers before doing so, stressing that he never have the rights over his old songs to any company.
The singer is determined within the next few days to legally pull the album out of the market so his fan won’t be cheated into thinking it is a new album with new songs that they haven’t heard yet.
Hatem had also called out to all his fans not to buy the album which is called “Al Ghali” stating that he will release his new album within the upcoming months.
