She doesn't take the smack talking by naysayers without speaking up herself. Hend Sabry's “Imbratoriyat Meen” (Whose Empire) was recently added to the list of Ramadan dramas being boycotted after the promo was aired. Many concluded that the show's events contain underlying insults to Egypt and its people due to the fact that it concentrates on the problems faced in Egyptian society.

That's why she defended the drama by dishing the full deets of the show in a press conference. The topics of the script written by Ghada Abdel Aal concentrate on the country's absence of security, sexual harassments and the widespread existence of thugs in the streets.

The drama does address the absence of security and the prominence of sexual harassment and thugs in the streets of Egypt.

Sabry stressed that the idea of the drama directed by Mariam Abu Ouf came after the many changes that took place in Egyptian and Arab society in the past three years.
