Hilary Duff and her boyfriend Matthew Koma managed to 'scare off' an intruder at their Beverly Hills home after being targeted by a would-be thief for a second time.
The actress, 31, and the musician, 31, were at home in their kitchen on Tuesday night at around 8.30pm when they 'noticed a man lurking around their backyard', TMZ reports.
Law enforcement sources revealed police arrived at the scene and noticed a 'window screen had been removed' at the house while doing a perimeter search of the property.

Although the intruder didn't make it inside the house, the removal of the window suggests the intention was to gain entry.
It is not immediately clear how the couple scared off the trespasser.
The source told TMZ police have 'dispatched extra patrols around the area' and 'continue to investigate since the man's still on the loose'.
MailOnline has approached a representative for Hilary Duff for comment.
This is the second time the former child star's home has been targeted.
In July 2017, a burglar broke into the house and stole jewellery amounting to a six-figure sum.
Hilary was said to have been left 'shaken' by the incident, with thieves reportedly realising she was away when they saw her posting on social media about a family vacation.
The couple were likely at home with four-month-old baby daughter, Banks, their first child together, who they welcomed into the world in October.
The former Lizzie McGuire star didn't appear too fazed by the incident as she stepped out in the Studio City area of Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Hilary looked happy and relaxed as she grabbed an iced coffee with her sister Haylie, 34, at Joan's On Third.
The actress has been splitting her time between Los Angeles and New York in recent weeks while filming the sixth season of her comedy drama, Younger.
Hilary welcomed baby daughter Banks Violet Blair into the world on October 25 2018, via a home water birth.
The delighted couple announced the happy news via the star's Instagram, with Hilary writing: 'This little bit has fully stolen our hearts! She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic.'
Matthew wrote on his Instagram soon after: 'Banks Violet Bair /// 10.25.18 /// We welcomed a beautiful daughter, little sister, and best friend for life.'
Hilary also shares son Luca, seven, with former hockey player ex-husband Mike Comrie, 38.
The couple split in 2014 after almost four years of marriage and seven years together.
Hilary and Matthew have been together since January 2017 after meeting when the musician co-produced the star's 2015 album Breathe In, Breathe Out.
