ALBAWABA - Following a plethora of videos and accusations from Sherine Abdel Wahab that her ex-husband Hossam Habib assaulted and tortured her yesterday which resulted in a police station visit, Habib allegedly claimed that Sherine hit herself to "affect his reputation."
Yesterday on Jul. 7, 2024, Egyptian authorities confirmed that Sherine Abdel Wahab also accused Habib of stealing her phone, having a dispute over a piece of property, stealing dollars from her bag, and assaulting her.
According to ET in Arabic, Hossam Habib confessed in a voice note that he never hit Sherine and stated that the truth would come out in a matter of hours!
When visiting the police, Sherine appeared to have been inured with blood dripping from her face, an injured eye, and a leg injury.
Hossam Habib: Sherine hit herself to hurt my reputation!
"I swear to God Almighty that all this talk is a lie. I did not lay a hand on Sherine. She is the one who hurt herself with a fire extinguisher that hit her in the head. And she hurt her legs with scissors. This is all I can say, and I cannot say anything more than that."
He also added that other witnesses saw the incident including Sherine's daughter who could confirm his words. Moreover, he accused one of the witnesses of "framing him" by "falsifying his testimony."
The testimony in question was about Habib allegedly stealing money from Sherine's bag which he claimed to be false by asking a couple of questions including how she obtained the $50,000 and from which bank did she withdraw it?
Additionally, he asked for the invoices of his four confiscated diamond rings to confirm if Sherine actually owned them.
A video was also leaked by Habib showcasing the aftermath of the incident and what happened to the house. Moreover, a short clip of the video showcased Sherine smacking a table onto the ground and swearing:
