During an interview on an entertainment program on the satellite channel Nissmah, Moroccan singer Huda Saed attacked Egyptian singer Shireen Abd Al Wahab saying that she is very conceited as is the case with Moroccan singer Sofia Al Mareekh, who is the star of the popular show the X-Factor. Huda went on to say that both Shireen and Sofia have no real talent and they had not achieved any significant success through the songs they released so far.
On her part, journalist Kawthar Bu Jaradah criticized Huda for her attacks stating that she has no right to make such comments against Shireen or Sofia. Kawthar added that how can Huda overlook Sofia’s recent success especially at the Mawazeen Music Festival and her duet with international singer Jermaine Jackson.
Kawthar also stated that Huda should not be talking ill of other singers especially when she is at the beginning of her singing career and it is not wise for her to make enemies at such a point.
