He tied the knot with his long-term Swedish girlfriend, Anna Eberstein, in a low-key ceremony in Chelsea earlier this year in May.
And now Hugh Grant has admitted that he should have got married a lot sooner and that life with his new wife is 'really nice'.
The actor, 57, appeared on Wednesday's episode of Today, to which he also spoke about his marital life with Anna.
To which he added on being married: 'It’s really nice, I can’t pretend it isn’t.
'I should have done it before. I’m just lucky. I’m lucky. I’ve got a great wife. I love her.'
Grant is famous for his own reluctance to marry, he split with his actress girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley in 2000 after 13 years together, with the two remaining great friends.
He told People magazine in 2015: 'I'm not really a believer in marriage. I've seen very few good examples, maybe five, in my life, but I think otherwise it's a recipe for mutual misery.'
Hugh and Anna have been together six years and share three children, John Mungo, who was born in September 2012, and another child born in December 2015.
Hugh's ex Elizabeth let slip in March that Hugh had a third child with Anna, but the birth date and gender are unknown.
As well as his three children with Anna, Hugh also shares two children with ex Tinglan Hong.
It was Elizabeth who shared the news of the birth of his new baby during an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in March.
She candidly said: 'He had another one last week. He has five. He was over 50 when he spawned them all.'
Andy asked Elizabeth if she was shocked by it and she delightfully responded: 'No, he’s an enchanting dad. Really, really sweet.'
