Celebrity marriages don't exactly have the best track record, and it's so much more exciting when A-Listers date one of us ordinary folk anyway!
Former "The Voice Arabia" contestant Farid Ghannam, AKA "Farawla," who gathered a huge fan base since appearing on the show almost three years ago, has tied the knot this month.
But the Moroccan singer didn't end up with one of his fellow celebrity friends, it was much cooler than that! Farawla got hitched to one of his fans from Northern Morocco.
The sensational singer married a young lady named Rabab Azmani, whom he'd met two and a half years ago. The ceremony took place in Azmani's hometown "Tatwan" on Friday, January 24, and lasted for three days according to the city's lively and colorful traditions.
Azmani posted a picture of them together as "singer and fan" with the caption, "My first photo with Farawla as one of his fans," reported Laha magazine.
At the time, Farid had reached the finals in Season one of the competition and was mentored by Egyptian superstar Sherine Abdel Wahab.
Congrats to the happy couple!
