Badr International Corp., producers of the latest cartoon movie "Mohammed Khatam Al Mursaleen" (Mohammed, Seal of the Prophets), commenced the work on a new cartoon movie depicting the life history of the Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) companion, the Imam Salman Al Farisi.
According to the Egyptian daily, Al Akhbar, the production company decided to produce another movie, targeting all the world's Muslims, after the huge success of the unprecedented animated movie about the life of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
The new movie will mainly focus on Imam Salman Al Farisi’s profession to Islam and the battles he fought with the prophet Mohammed (PBUH), especially Al Khandaq battle, in which Salman advised the Prophet to dig trenches around Madinah in defense of the city.
The movie, "Mohammed, Seal of the Prophets," by former Disney director Richard Rich, was approved in early September by Al Azhar's Center for Islamic Research, provided that the image of the Prophet's uncle, Hamza, is removed, and gave a list of Islamic symbols, which the center deemed not appropriate for screening or hearing in any work.
The 90-minute Arabic-English animated movie depicts the period of the emergence of Islam in the Arabian Peninsula, and tells the difficulties Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) faced, his departure for Medina and the battles he fought in order to spread the message of Islam, more than 1,400 years ago.
Badr Company, registered in the British Virgin Islands, said that the movie was designed in Burbank, California under the supervision of Khaled Abu Al Fadl, Islamic law professor at the University of California at Los Angeles. – Albawaba.com
