Rola Yamout released a new music video this week, or what most people who have watched it are describing as a "soft porn video."
The video was very sexual, focusing on Rola's half-naked body and skimpy outfits, while she desperately and noisily tried to sing her lyrics.
Albawaba made a video (in Arabic) about her latest release, titled "I'm Rola," and it was watched over 29 thousand times on YouTube. Needless to say, none of the user comments were positive.
Rola not only brought shame upon herself, but the Yamout family as well.
Things are so bad that a member of her family took to Facebook release an official statement to tell the world that "the Yamout family wants nothing to do with Rola."
The statement, addressed on behalf of the Yamout Family Society, read:
"The Yamout family, who's known for its commitment to its religion and to good morals, is disowning Rola after she recently appeared in an unethical and immoral manner that doesn't relate to the good manners of the Yamout family. It seems that she was raised in an environment totally unrelated to the conservative Yamout environment.
The "proud" family member, named Oussama, went on to say, "We're proud of our family and our conservative nature, and of our religion and our commitment to it."
Oussama finally urged his family members and anyone who asks about Rola and her relationship to them to respond that "there is no relation to her whatsoever."
How far will Rola go for fame?
