Moroccan actress Mariam Hussein has spoken out for the first time about her divorce from her husband-of-few-months, Saudi actor Faisal al Faisal.
Last week, Faisal shockingly announced on Instagram that he and Mariam have parted ways, even though she's pregnant with his child.
In an interview with Emarat News, mariam stressed that the reason behind their split was due to "personal reasons and had nothing to do with his family."
When asked how he reacted when they made the decision to break up, she told the interviewer to "ask Faisal about that."
Mariam stressed that she is a strong woman and that pregnancy has made her even stronger.
While assuring Emarat News that she still loves Faisal and will remain friends with him, she said that all her love will go to their baby for now.
The actress added that no one knows what could happen between her and Faisal in the future, since they're both still in love.
As for her cyber bullies, Mariam described them as "children whom I pity."
