Moroccan singer Janat has defended her white strapless dress, which she wore during her New Year’s concert in Cairo, describing it as being conservative. Janat refused to accept accusations that her dress was very revealing and seductive and outside the norms accepted by Arab society.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Janat stressed that she comes from a conservative family and is very careful about the selection of her cloths always making sure that they meet ethical values.
Janat’s fans had reprimanded her on her official page on the social network Facebook saying that they were shocked with her daring appearance in a dress that revealed too much. Fans also said that they were disappointed with Janat who was a symbol of conservativeness and was respected by many for this particular trait.
