Syrian actor Jihad Abdo has hit the jackpot with an acting role alongside Hollywood actor Tom Hanks. Wowzers!

Jihad and Tom will be acting buddies in “A Hologram for the King,” directed by German director Tom Tykwer, according to Laha Magazine.

Abdo must be feeling oh-so-special, as the Oscar-winning actor hand-picked him for this role. Hanks must have been impressed with Abdo’s performance in the 2014 Hollywood blockbuster “Queen of the Desert” by Werner Herzog.

“I am ecstatic and grateful to begin filming the first scenes of my new Hollywood film alongside famous American actor Tom Hanks and the great director Tom Tykwer," Abdo excitedly tweeted.

Apparently, credit for Abdo’s role in this film is given to his last trip to Morocco, where he met the A-List celeb.

The film revolves around a rich man (Hanks) who goes from riches to rags. He then travels to Saudi Arabia in the hopes of establishing new business and investment ventures. That’s when he falls ill to cancer and resides in a hospital where he falls in love with one of its doctors.

In the film, Abdo plays the role of the surgeon who performs Hanks's life-saving surgery.

The movie will be filmed in both Morocco and Germany.
