Lebanese singer Joseph Attieh has spoken of the newcomers to the industry and his taste in women, ahead of the release of his latest album in time for Eid.
Attieh who rose to fame through Star Academy has a new album in the works scheduled for a Eid-time launch. The album includes 11 songs in sung in both the Lebanese and Egyptian dialects. There's not a dull moment in an album crammed wtih different music styles and unique arragements. One of the most distinguished songs is "Mish Ghawy Athab" (Not a Fan of Torture). Nor are we, so don't keep us hanging on your next album, Joseph!
Attieh also made the observation that the music industry is awash with newcomers at this time. In partiular, Attieh highlights the genre of Lebanese song for its far reach among Arabic audiences, across multiple Arab countries.
Perhaps more interestingly, he also let slip that the first thing he looks for in a partner is intelligence. A sucker for clever girls, our Jo.
