July jumps into its first weekend with an underground EDM experience you didn’t know you needed. Five artists are bringing deep drops and entrancing mixes to a 50,000-metre warehouse in Studio City for the debut session of The Grid. Dance and vibe with top talents including James Zabiela, techno duo Teenage Mutants, Sebastian Mullaert, Josephine De Retour and MadLou on 4 July. It’s the ultimate weekend mashup, which sees DJs from England, Germany and beyond share a stage with local talent.

Get into the summer rhythm with a live concert starring Filipino icons Martin Nievera and Lani Misalucha. The heavyweight artists are arriving in Dubai as part of their ‘World Alliance ME’ tour, an effort to bring the melodies and memories of home to Pinoys around the region. Jam to your favourite tracks, dance to radio-certified hits and enter July on a high note with the Concert King and Asia’s Nightingale.

You won’t believe your eyes at The Miracle
Renowned illusionist Magicalmost and mentalist Moein Al Bastaki are putting on a joint show titled The Miracle. Be blown away by mind-boggling tricks, illusions and stunts that will leave you in total disbelief. Both artists are well established in the local performance scene, having done many television and festival appearances. Keep your eyes wide open because you don’t want to miss a second of this show.

A two-for-one theatre night
Australian playwright Cerise De Gelder has put together a double-bill performance of her work at The Junction. By Cerise features the play ‘Unforgettable,’ a story in which years and generations pass but one piece of art survives the ravages of time. The second, titled ‘Snap,’ is a dark comedy about friends stuck in an unusual situation when ugly truths begin to reveal themselves.

Catch a moving thriller in Hindi
Dubai-based theatre group Mandali is putting on a heart-racing production at The Junction titled Ek Raat (‘One Night’). Set in a cold and dreary prison, this Hindi thriller tells the story of a man standing up for his principles even if it’s his last chance. This show stars local talent Digvijay Singh, Rahul Taneja, Mandeep Walia, Benjamin Samuel and Syed Siddiq, and is directed by Arif Bhaldar.
