'It's hard to get out of bed in the morning with the right attitude when you are overwhelmed with your life, your past, job, responsibilities, emotions, your family, finances, your relationships,' he wrote. 'Sometimes it can even get to the point where you don't even want to live anymore.'

It's not the first time that the singer has spoken about his battle with depression and the intense scrutiny that came with being a teen heartthrob.
In 2015, while promoting his album Purpose, he told NME: 'I just want people to know I’m human. I’m struggling just to get through the days.'
But in Monday's Instagram post, Bieber goes into greater detail about the why's and wherefore's of his mental state and his ability or lack of it to handle his fame.
And he concludes by describing how he has 'bounced back' thanks to 'extraordinary people who love me for me' and says his marriage to Hailey Baldwin, which took place a year ago, is 'the best season of my life.'

It's not known what prompted the confessional from the Sorry recording artist who was catapulted to stardom a decade ago after being discovered by Scooter Braun on YouTube.
He shares with his fans that despite all the money, cars, clothes and accolades, he still felt 'unfulfilled.'
He blames the 'insane pressure and responsibility' heaped onto a child star coupled with huge fame for leaving him adrift in an adult world.
'I went from a 13 year old boy from a small town to being praised left and right by the world with millions saying how much they loved me and how great I was,' he wrote. 'You hear these things enough as a young boy and you actually start believing it.'
He went on: 'I was 18 with no skills in the real world, with millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted. This is a very scary concept for anyone.'
'By 20 I made every bad decision you could have thought of and went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged and hated person in the world!'
The recording artist has had several run-ins with the law and in January 2014, he was arrested for DUI in Miami Beach, Florida. In July he was charged with vandalism in LA County and in September was arrested for dangerous driving and assault in Ontario, Canada
Throughout his early years of success, Bieber was in a relationship with singer and actress and fellow child star Selena Gomez.
The pair started dating in late 2010 but broke up in late 2012.
They then reconciled a few weeks later but continued to date and break up on and off through 2015.
During this period, Bieber admitted in his Instagram post, his life had gone off the rails.
'I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all of my relationships,' he explained.
'I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry. I became distant to everyone who loved me, and I was hiding behind a shell of a person that I had become.'
'I felt like I could never turn it around,' he said. 'It's taken me years to bounce back from all of these terrible decision, fix broken relationships, and change relationship habits.'
Bieber and Gomez appeared to reunite in 2017 but by March 2018 they had gone their separate ways again, and in September 2018, he wed Hailey Baldwin in a low-key civil ceremony in New York.
At the end of his post, he spoke about how God had blessed him 'with extraordinary people who love me for me.'
'Now I am navigating the best seas on of my life "MARRIAGE"!! which is an amazing crazy new responsibility,' he shared.
'You learn patience, trust, commitment, kindness, humility and all of the things it looks like to be a good man.'
Bieber finished with an exhortation to others to that 'even when the odds are against you, keep fighting.'
