Egyptian actor Karim Abdelaziz has landed himself in hot fire, after being accused of insulting women by the Egyptian Women's Union.
The Union attacked Karim for using profanities against a female model during the filming of one of his latest commercials.
“Allah yehri'ek wa Allah yekhreb beitek ya bouma (May God burn you and ruin your life you owl),” Karim said to the model.
According to Sayidaty.net, the Union had further condemned a campaign by a tourist resort because of its advertising campaign . Domestic violence was the campaign's theme and it showed a woman as the cause of her husband's death and their children robbing them.
The Union is so sensitive about women's issues that it even refuses to name cows' pictures on yoghurt boxes with female names like “Sawsan” or “Suad,” considering it as a direct insult to Egyptian women.
