Prominent Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher has announced that he will postpone the release of his upcoming album until the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. The singer revealed that he has come to this decision due to the fact that releasing his album now, which was the previous plan, will negatively affect its success.
Kathem added that he felt the best time for the release would be during the Muslim holiday Eid Al Fitr. Kathem handed in the master copy of his latest album since July but Rotana had been constantly delaying the release.
The new album features ten new songs that vary in style and genre, in addition to patriotic song in which the singer expresses his true feelings about the current situation in Iraq under the occupation of Allied forces.
Recently Kathem was a guest on the new show that began to broadcast on the Arabic satellite television channel MBC in mid-September where presenters Nancy Me’mari holds one on one interviews with Arab stars to talk about themselves.
El Saher came to Beirut to film two episodes for the show. In the show, Kathem reveals for the first time his experience as a soldier for six years in the Iraqi army. The singer talked about the real reasons behind leaving Iraq and that he is waiting for the right time to go back to the country he loves. –Albawaba.com
