Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom have pushed their wedding back for a second time.

In a new interview, the singer, 35, admitted the couple are focusing on 'delivering a healthy child' as they prepare to welcome their daughter into the world next month.

The artist and the actor, 43, were rumoured to have originally planned to tie the knot last winter, before postponing the ceremony - allegedly set to take place in Japan - to this summer.

Katy told The Mirror: 'You can’t plan anymore in 2020 because those plans are always cancelled.

'We just want to deliver a healthy child. Everyone has to take life one week at a time right now.'

The musician echoed her comments in a recent interview with Howard Stern, detailing: 'Obviously, that will happen in the future, but for now we just want to deliver a healthy child. And that's what's coming up right now!'

In March, Orlando revealed the coronavirus pandemic had affected the couple's wedding plans.

He told The Times UK : 'I'm not joking when I say that coronavirus might have a play in whether we put things on ice, because we're going to be travelling and we don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable.'

The Firework songstress and the screen star are said to be planning two wedding parties: one 'local' and the other for a 'destination wedding'.

The Lord of the Rings actor already shares son Flynn, nine, with former wife Miranda Kerr.

Orlando was married to model Miranda, 37, from July 2010 until late 2013, while Katy wed comedian Russell Brand in October 2010, before divorcing in early 2012.

MailOnline has contacted Katy and Orlando's representatives for further comment.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the Santa Barbara native has chosen Jennifer Aniston to be her daughter's godmother.

Katy and Jennifer are not only connected by their nearly decade long friendship, but their romantic lives have also collided once over the years.

Back in 2008, the actress, 50, briefly dated Katy's ex boyfriend John Mayer, whom she was in an on-and-off relationship from 2012 until 2015.

The artist went on to meet her fiancé Orlando at a Golden Globes after-party in January 2016 and they began dating shortly after.

The pair ended their relationship in 2017, but were back together by April of the following year.

Orlando proposed to his on-off girlfriend on Valentine's Day in 2019, following an American Idol taping in Los Angeles.
