Hollywood actor Kevin Costner is expected to arrive here for a screening of "13 Days," his movie on the 1962 Cuban missile crisis - which he may be watching with President Fidel Castro.
According to reports, Costner will arrive in Havana late Monday and remain on the island several days.
Costner produced "13 Days" and also stars in the movie, as a top aide to US president John F. Kennedy.
The film will be shown late Wednesday in Havana, officials at the Cuban Institute of Arts and Film (ICAIC) said.
It is not known, however, whether Castro and Costner will see the Cuban premiere together, or at separate screenings.
Castro is the only survivor of the three heads of state who were actors in the crisis which erupted in 1962 over Russian missiles installed on Cuban soil.
The crisis brought the world to the verge of nuclear catastrophe.
After a tense standoff, Russian leader Nikita Khruschev withdrew the missiles from Cuba, and the US government lifted the threat of a military invasion of the island.
Castro, who took office in 1959 and crushed a US-financed invasion of Cuban exile dissidents in 1961, was angry at Khruschev for not consulting with him about the decision to withdraw the missiles -- AFP
