Lamita Franjieh denies attempted assassination

Lebanese actress Lamita Franjieh denied recent circulating rumors that she attempted to flee Cairo to go to Lebanon after anonymous individuals attempted to assassinate her. Lamita stressed that since the Egyptian January 25 Revolution that overthrew the government of ousted President Husni Mubarak she has been living in Egypt and no one attempted harass her in any way.

 

Lamita said that she had heard of this ridiculous rumor and had refused give it attention and make a public comment about it. She added that her recent trip to Lebanon was due to work obligations and her taking part in a new television program. Lamita noted that once she completed filming the episodes of the show she returned to Egypt to continue filming the scenes for her upcoming television drama “Hafeed Izz” (Izz’s grandson) alongside Egyptian actor Ashraf Abd Al Baqi.

 

In the new drama, Lamita plays the role of an ambitious young lady that works for a satellite channel and fulfills her dream of becoming a television broadcaster. The drama is a light comedy.

 

Lamita is also waiting for the screening of the Egyptian film “Omar and Salma 3” in which she plays the role of a girl that creates problems for the leading actress and her husband.
