Tunisian singer Latifa will be adding two of Ziad Rahbani’s songs to her upcoming album. Rahbani created the two songs at his private studio in the Hamra district in Lebanon especially for Latifa. This is not the first time that Latifa attributes a Lebanese composer for her songs as she is accustomed to working with Lebanese composers and producers.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Latifa’s collection for her new album will also include two songs composed and distributed by Lebanese Jan Mary Riashi. The singer has expressed that she feels it’s a great honor to work with Rahbani as it adds tremendously to her career.
Latifa is putting the final touches to her new album produced by “Alam Al Fan”(World of Art) hoping to mark its release in the near future. The album will includes variety of songs, including a Libyan song, written by Abdullah Al Mansour and composed by Mohamad Hassan, by a group of new composers and poets such as waleed Saad,Omar Mustafa and Mohammad Raaheem.
The album is to hold many surprises for all of Latifa's fans, with a Khaliji song written by Prince Badr Bin Abdul Muhsin. The song, entitled "La Ana Ansa" (I Won't Forget), will mark Latifa's debut with a Khaliji song. The song's composer, Mohammed Shafiq said that "the work came upon Latifa's wish to have a joint project with Prince Badr, and for his part the Prince welcomed the idea and worked on 'La Ana Ansa' poem." – Albawaba.com
