Lewis Hamilton took to Instagram on Sunday as he joined Gigi Hadid for a night of fun and frolics at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The Formula One driver has enjoyed his weekend off racing duty, with the season resuming next Sunday at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
Hamilton, who won the race last year by over three seconds, currently holds a 28-point advantage over Nico Rosberg in the overall Driver Standings with eight races remaining in the 2015 season.
The 30-year-old is a good friend of Hadid having joined the model for a 'double date' at an exclusive Wireless after party thrown by rapper Drake in June.
The pair joined Kendall Jenner and Joe Jonas at Libertine nightclub following Drake's headline performance to a packed out at Finsbury Park crowd in North London.
Jonas performed a DJ set at the VMA event, and both Hamilton and Hadid were in high spirits as they took time out from their hectic schedules to support their mutual friend.
Hamilton posted: 'VMA weekend hanging with my good friend @gigihadid while the homie @joejonas DJs!!'
Hamilton won the Belgian Grand Prix in his last outing to extend his lead at the top of the Championship, and the Mercedes driver knows that victory in Monza will edge him one step closer to his third World Championship.
