Lindsay Lohan posted a poem to her Instagram account in which she wrote about the refugee crisis and her desire to help "fix idle Isis [Daesh] minds," according to the website Breitbart.
The actress - who recently moved to the UAE and has begun doing charity work for Syrian refugees in Turkey - has become increasingly vocal about the refugee crisis.
“[T]han i realise, at least i am in a bed/i am still alive/so what can really be said? [sic]” the poem reads. “just go to bed and close the blinds/still and so on, i cannot help but want to fix all of these idle isis minds/because/there has to be something i can figure out/rather than living in a world of fear and doubt/they now shoot, we used to shout.”
Lohan reportedly spent the Christmas and New Year holidays volunteering in refugee camps in Turkey, and recently announced that the profits from her new nightclub in Greece would go toward refugee causes.
