The artist Liqaa Swaidan went to Lebanon to make sure that her family members who live in Lebanon were safe.
According to the London daily Elaph, Liqaa revealed how upset she is over what is happening to her mother country where she lived her childhood. She hopes that Lebanon will return to prosperous times.
Liqaa is living a stable and happy life with her famous husband the handsome Hussein Fahmi.
She is busy recording the songs for her first album that she is financing with her own money. She said that a production company will distribute and launch the album at the beginning of the summer season. The last three songs on the album are “Ajmal Banat Hawa” (The Best of Eve’s Daughters), written by the poet Jamal Bakhit, composed by Sharif Taj and distributed by Tareq Habib. The other two songs are “Merci” (Thank You) and “Wayak” (With You) that were written by Mustafa Hasan, composed by Muhammad Rahim and distributed by Adel Haqi.
Liqaa denied that she turned to singing, because she sought after fame and money. She said that she has been singing since she was a little girl. When she was eight-years old she starred in the television drama series “Howah Wa Heyah” (She And He) with the late actors Ahmad Zaki and Soaad Husni, known as the ‘Cinderella’ of Egyptian television. She performed the song “Jaras Al Fosha” (Recess Bell) with Soaad Husni. The great musician Amar Al Shiraie predicted that she would have a prosperous future singing.
Liqaa’s acting career took her away from singing, but on the other hand singing won’t take her away from her acting which she considers as her first love.
As for her new drama projects, Liqaa has filmed the television drama series “Ali Mubarak,” in which she plays a Turkish maid who marries Al Khidawi Ismail and makes a dramatic change in his thinking.
