SURPRISE! Look who's back:
It has been a traumatizing past six months for Moroccan star Saad Lamjarred, but he has finally been released from the Fleury-Merogis prison in France.
And what's the first thing the young singer did upon breathing the sweet air of freedom? He danced in the streets of Paris, of course.
A video of Saad dancing to a jazz street band in Paris went viral over the weekend.
He seemed confident, exhilarated and ever so happy to be finally free.
Despite being released from prison, the singer is under electronic surveillance while awaiting trial for the alleged rape of a 20-year-old French woman.
If he attempts to leave the country, French authorities will be alerted through his ankle monitor.
Nevertheless, following his release on Thursday, Saad took to Facebook and Instagram to express his deepest gratitude to those who stood by him while he was in the gutter.
“Thank God Almighty. I can’t express how happy I am to come back to my dear parents and family, my friends and precious fans who stood by me from the beginning. Sorry I made you go through all this,” he said. “I thank my friend artists who shared with my parents every painful moment. I can’t thank you enough…my motto will always be: God, Country, King.”
Saad and his parents even made this emotional video, especially dedicated to the singer's loyal fans.
