Egyptian actor Mahmoud El Jundi's secret marriage, which has been kept hidden for over 12 years, finally became known. The Arab magazine Sayidaty was able to get its hands on the lawsuit papers filed by his wife (Rasha) in secrecy that demanded acknowledgment for her and her son.
Rasha, who comes from a wealthy family, is a beautiful young lady who was a one of Mahmoud's fans. She had at the time agreed to marry Mahmoud not caring about the legality of the matter or making it public.
The couple had lived in bliss for some time up to the point when they had their baby daughter. At this point, Rasha demanded that Mahmoud make their secret marriage public and officially announce it. The actor refused, causing a series of problems that led to court. Rasha demand a divorce from Mahmoud, but he refused. The reason behind Mahmoud's insistence on keeping the matter a secret and his strong refusal of making a public announcement are not known.
The actor had returned to the scenes in the year 2000, after disappearing for two-years, in a Ramadan series, Abath El Aqdar (Irony of Fate). The actor explained that his role in the series is “an engineer who participated in building the Great Pyramid.
