Egyptian director Ashraf Salem has started shooting his new romantic TV series Wal Qalb Itha Hawa (If the Heart Falls In Love) costarring Sumayya Al Ulfi and Mahmoud Qabil, according to the daily Al Ahram.
The series, written by Alaa Abdel Mena’em, tells the story of a man who marries his teacher’s daughter out of gratitude to him. But later he falls in love with a widow, driving him to take upon himself the upbringing of her daughter, which causes unexpected changes in his life.
Costarring in the series are Hala Fakher, Hassan Mustafa, Suad Nasser, Ghada Nafea’, Abdullah Mahmoud, Inas Noor and Ahmed Sadeq.
Qabil and Al Ulfi have met before in the TV series Nisaa Al Samt (Women of Silence).
Qabil is known for his romantic TV roles, such as Al Lahathat Allati Intahat (The Moments Which Have Finished), Hawanem Garden City along with Nada Basiouni, and Al Jahim Rajal (Hell Is a Man) with Dalal Abdel Aziz.
Qabil once said in an interview: “I am attracted to romantic roles because I find myself in them, they express my real nature.” – Albawaba.com
