While the Egyptian actor Mahmoud Qabil is shooting his role as Isaac Shoshan, the commander of the Israeli destroyer Eilat in the film Dignity Day, he runs the elections for the Egyptian parliament membership in a drama feature entitled Wishes are Still Possible which is currently being filmed.

The feature was scripted by Karam al Naggar, directed by Ali Khalifa and costarring Sawsan Bader, Wafaa Salem and Ahmed Aqel. It is about the parliamentary elections and the shining election promises, which the candidates make for their audience as a reward for being elected by them. Once the candidates win the elections they quickly forget their promises and decline from providing any service for their voters.

“The feature presents a new idea that guarantees the implementation of the candidates’ promises to their voters through signing checks valued the same sums of their donations,” Qabil told the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat adding that he would play the role as a man who runs the elections in one of the districts to succeed his father, the former representative of the same district -- Albawaba.com
