Ramadan Riddles will make their way back to television screens during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan and will be presented by Lebanese signer Mariam Fares. The riddles will be produced by Egyptian producer Tareq Nour and will be aired on the Egyptian television channel “Al Qahirah wal Naas”.

According to the London based Elaph, Mariam and Tareq along with Egyptian director Ahmad al Manshawi, Lebanese director Yahia Sa’adeh and makeup artist Joe Raed held a press conference in Beirut at the Metropolitan hotel. At the press conference the beginning of filming of episodes was announced and will take place at the studios of the popular television program “Star Academy”. The riddles will be a Lebanese/Egyptian cooperation.

Tareq Nour revealed that Mariam masters the Egyptian accent, in some instances better than Egyptians, which is the reason she was nominated to host the show. Tareq added that if Mariam had turned down her nomination, the Riddles show would cease to exist this Ramadan season.

On her part, Mariam had to turn down performing in concerts and festivals in different countries around the Arab world in order to fully commit to filming the riddles. The singer stated that she was ecstatic about having the opportunity to host the show stressing that it will mark a turning point in her career.
