Award-winning actor Martin Sheen was one of many stars and celebrities who took part in the Dubai International Film Festival.

During his short trip to the emirate, Sheen sat down with Mahira Abdelaziz, one of Al Arabiya’s “Sabah Al Arabiya” presenters. They discussed several topics from his acting career to the political unrest in Syria.

Sheen is the father of four. While all of his children have followed his footsteps as an actor, he claims to have nothing to do with their career choices.

Despite being active in a number of political causes, Sheen claims he’s a man distanced from the political sphere Sheen was quite devastated about Syria’s conflict.

The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), in its tenth year, will present its Lifetime Achievement Award to Sheen, honoring him as being one of the greatest actors of his generation.
