May Salim will soon be setting us straight on the proper teachings of Islam in character. The young actress is starring in a short film about social issues that impact the misunderstandings of religious ideologies.

"The Mirror" is near completion, says the starlet. May has completed 80 percent of the scenes surrounding her character "Maryam". Mayam is a young girl whose domestic issues draw her to adorn the Islamic veil, covering her face and creating a slew of additional problems, according to Laha Magazine.

May will be joined on screen by Fady Abdel Ghani and Ayda Riyadh with the narrative voice of Mahmoud Yasin and the musical magic of Mohammad Tharwat.

Written by Amad Buhayri and directed by Ahmad Tharwat, "Mirrors" is proposed to participate in a number of international film festivals.
