If you're getting so much dosh to act, why would you ever think to quit?
Perhaps that's a question Egyptian veteran actress Mervat Amin never asked, as her love for acting is what kept her in showbiz.
Amin said that every time she contemplated quitting, she'd receive a "tempting" script that would throw those thoughts out the window.
And that's why she's a legend: she genuinely loves channelling different characters through her work rather than just doing it for the money.
But what would Mervat do if she were to quit? The actress revealed that in the past she tried her hands at opening a business with a friend - a gifts boutique - but the store acquired major losses and was out of business in one month!
Mervat said that this was her first and last time as a businesswoman. We're behind you on that one!
As for shying away from attending festivals and social events away from Egypt, Mervat said that her phobia of flying is the reason behind it - aww - and that the Abu Dhabi Festival was the only event she had attended to show appreciation for the UAE for their support for Egypt during their political struggle.
