Mervat Amin denies affair with a businessman

Prominent Egyptian actress Mervat Amin denied circulating rumors of her involvement with a wealthy businessman stating that there is no truth behind the stupid lie. Mervat stressed that falling in love is not on her agenda at the current time especially since she has a beautiful bride at home, her daughter, whom takes up all her time.

 

The actress added that love has its specific time and hers has already passed and the matter holds no more significance in her life. Mervat added that she has made it a point to focus all her attention on her daughter’s wellbeing and had advised her to keep away from the entertainment world due its exhausting atmosphere.

 

Mervat Amin is currently holding work sessions with scenarist Samah Al Hariri to finalize the details of her upcoming television drama “Awdat Al Madi” (Return of the Past), which she had recently signed a contract to star the leading role in. Filming of the drama is scheduled to begin in the upcoming few weeks, a matter that led her to turn down an invitation to be part of a judging committee in a film festival in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Morocco.

 

Mervat has expressed her joy at taking part of the drama, which she stresses tackles important social issues. The drama revolves around a woman who commits a crime and serves 25 five years in jail and once she is free she encounters numerous obstacles that make it impossible for her to live a normal life. Prominent director Majdi Abu Ameireh, who is currently reading the script, has been nominated to direct the drama.
