It was business as usual on Friday (Oct 31) night's live episode of Arab Idol... at first! Because it was the remaining five minutes of the talent competition that got everyone scratching their heads!
Judge Wael Kfoury surprised everyone when it was his turn to comment on contestant Mohammad Rashad's performance, following a rendition of George Wassouf's "El Hawa Sultan."
Before making any comments, Kfoury said, "Can I say what I have to say then leave?"
In that moment, the Lebanese singer's fellow judges, Nancy Ajram, Ahlam and Hassan El Shafei, thought he was kidding - so did we!
But kidding, he was not!
The unpredictable star collected his papers, walked up to the stage and congratulated Rashad on his performance with "Bravo, bravo, bravo," before saying goodbye and walking off the stage.
According to MBC.net, close sources to the show said that Wael wanted to pull a stunt for no specific reason! Erm, whatever turns you on, Kfoury!
You can see what hapened in action right here!
For now, the real quesiton is: Will Kfoury return to the judging panel next week?
