It's that time of year again when we wish we went to drama school and were about to star in one of this year's Ramadan TV dramas.
Why? Only because in 2017, actors are earning whopping sums to keep us glued to our TV screens after Iftar.
According Omani online newspaper Shabiba, the iconic King of Comedy, Adel Imam, tops the list once again this year with a reported fee of $2.8 million for his upcoming leading role in "Afareet Adli Allam."
Fellow Egyptian actor Ahmed el Sakka needn't be jealous, as he comes in a close second with a reported fee of $2.5 million for his role as a smart-ass lawyer in "The Dark Horse."
Meanwhile, actor Karim Abdel Aziz will get a cheque for $2.1 million to star in "Ali Al Zaybaq," alongside Lebanese hottie Carmen Lebbos.
Ahmad Mekky will be earning around the same figure as Karim, as the lead actor in "Khalsaneh Bishayakah."
Surprisingly, singer-turned-actor Mohammad Fouad returns to the small screen for a cool $1.9 million in "Al Thaher."
Last but not least (in talent that is), Mostafa Shaban will earn $1.5 million for his leading comedic role in "Allahuma Anni Sa'em."
Jealous much? Nah, neither are we. *cries*
