The Syrian artist Miriam Atallah and a number of Syrian artists participated in the celebration “Stars for the Sake of Jerusalem.” Jerusalem was named the 2009 capital for Arab culture. The proceeds from the celebration will be donated to the people of Gaza.

According to the London daily Elaph, Miriam performed a number of Syrian and Palestinian cultural songs which the audience enjoyed.

Miriam recently performed at the graduation ceremony at Al Qalmon University in Syria, where she sang traditional Syrian songs.

Miriam also performed at “Orphan’s Wedding,” a group wedding for Syrian orphans that was sponsored by the radio station “Farah.”

It is needless to say that Miriam had released her latest video clip for the song “Aman” (Safe) and that song accomplished great success. As for now she is preparing for her first album which is scheduled to be released in stores after “Eid Al Fiter”.
