Gigi Hadid may take her career seriously, but she will never let the competitive world of modeling ruin her friendships - especially her relationship with fellow model-of-the-moment Kendall Jenner.
The 20-year-old blonde stunner revealed that she never feels like she is competing with her glamorous friends such as Kendall and Hailey Baldwin because they look so different.
'If they want Kendall [Jenner], they're not going to want someone who looks like me,' she told Harper's Bazaar. 'It's completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than one job. If you're going to let it ruin that, then that's stupid.'

And Gigi has no problem complimenting her modeling friends who are seasoned veterans on the catwalk, as well as poking fun at her own runways skills.
'I will be the first to say, when I started, I was the worst on the runway ever,' she recalled. 'I feel like I try to keep learning every time I step off a runway, I try to get better with each one.'
She added: 'I hope that I'm getting better as I go - it takes a few seasons to get your Karlie Kloss walk on.'

In addition to her famous pals, Gigi's younger sister Bella also happens to be a rising model. When it comes to imparting sage wisdom about the industry to the 18-year-old, Gigi just advises her sister to 'be nice to people'.
'Be someone people want to work with because if people don't like working with you it's just not going to work out,' she explained.
And being in the same profession is an added bonus for Yolanda Foster's daughters, who both star in an upcoming shoot for V Magazine.
Gigi and Bella both took to their Instagram accounts on Thursday to share a teaser photo from the racy spread.
In the photo, the sisters don black lingerie as they lay on the ground next to each other atop a green fur coat.

Neither sister gave many details about the pictorial other than that they worked with famed photographer Steven Klein and the photos will appear in the 96th issue of the publication.
While Gigi is also a star on social media, boasting an impressive 4.1 million Instagram followers, she maintained that she doesn't have any set rules when it comes to posting snapshots.
'I post pictures that I want to post and say what I want to say,' she said. 'If that's three times a day or three times per month then whatever.'
Gigi, who is rumored to be dating Joe Jonas, noted that it is all about keeping it real.
'My biggest thing about being a role model is whatever I'm preaching, I'm practicing,' she said. 'If I'm telling people I'm boxing and then I'm eating a burger tonight, it's because I am.'
