Mohamed Ramadan, an Egyptian superstar, has made the announcement that he has formally paid MBC Group 36 million Egyptian pounds in accordance with a recent court order. In addition to the 26 million pounds in taxes that are owed to MBC, the payment also includes an extra 9 million pounds in expenses related to legal and court proceedings.
Through a post on his official Facebook page, Ramadan informed his followers of the news. He stated, "The Egyptian court's ruling was implemented today, ordering me to pay 26 million Egyptian pounds to MBC, in addition to 9 million Egyptian pounds in court fees." Ramadan's supporters were informed of the news.
The actor and singer stressed that he had previously earned 13 million Egyptian pounds from MBC but that he eventually returned 36 million through the court order, with the intention of demonstrating his respect for the judicial system.
"This is positive news, as it shows that Mohamed Ramadan took 13 million Egyptian pounds from MBC, returned 36 million through the courts, and committed to implementing the ruling," he stated in his statement.
In addition, Ramadan made it clear that MBC had not previously sought money and that he was caught aback when the court handed down its ruling.
