The Music Production Company Rotana has suggested to its newest added member renowned Saudi singer Mohamad Abdo the idea of singing a duet with prominent Lebanese singer Najwa Karam. Mohammad has given his initial acceptance to the idea on the conditions that he looks over the words of the song, in addition to composing it. Abdo also requests to look over all other the details concerning the new project.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Najwa gave her acceptance to the proposal and agreed to all of Mohammad’s conditions without hesitation. Najwa stressed that she holds very high respect for Mohammad and his achievements as a singer, who has given so much to the music industry in the Arab world.
The duet will mark the second experience for Najwa the first being with prominent Lebanese singer Wadee’ El Safi, which had witnessed great success.
Sources have revealed that Rotana paid Mohammad a wage of 5 million US dollars for signing a 5-year contract with them. Abdo, know as the Arab Artist, must submit 5 different albums during this period and the company is responsible for all of the his work.
The contract also says that the company will produce two music videos with the release of each album, which will be aired on Rotana music satellite channel. This step marks the first time the singer has signed a contract with a production company since the start of his career. The album “Al Amakin” (Places), which the singer plans on releasing in the very near future, is to be the first fruit of cooperation with the company.
