Mohammad Hamaki beat off tough competition this week as his new album, 'I Sing From My Heart', grabbed the top spot in Egypt's Virgin Megastore bestseller list only a few days after its release, Fi Al Fan reported.
Hamaki called in a host of songwriters and composers to help him produce the 12-song record including Ayman Bahjat Qamar, Khalid Taj El Din, Tamer Ali, Tuma, Mohammad Yahya and Khalid Azen.
The release pushed Syrian singer Asla's album, 'A stubborn personality' to number two and Elissa to third place with her latest release 'Happiest One'.
One person not disappointed to lose out to the star was Lebanese singer Wael Kfouri. This week's place at number four sees his album 'My shadow, my soul' into its sixth week in the charts.
Do you think Hamaki's album was worthy of its place at the top?
