It's bad enough being arrested, but to get arrested in public and with husndreds of people watching because you're a celeb is just plain embarrassing!
Egyptian singer Mohammed Al Helou was left red-faced at Cairo International Airport when airport police arrested him shortly after landing from Dubai.
The singer had fled to the UAE city after being convicted with a prison sentence for writing out bad cheques to one charity in Egypt.
Thinking that he'd gotten away with it, Mohammed confidently approached passport control before his name came up on the government's "Wanted People List."
The singer-turned-offender will now have to spend two years in jail for his offence.
According to Laha Magazine, the verdict was made by a Cairo court back in 2013 when al Helou wrote a bad cheque for $14,000 to a company that pledged to give aid (flour) to Libyan people on his behalf.
The charity's lawyer said that after Mohammed's cheque bounced, he negotiated with the charity's owner to drop the charges they had already pressed against him and promised to pay them back, but to no avail!
