Lebanese singer Moin Sharif says that he refuses to allow his daughter to become a singer or even enter the entertainment world, because it is a rough path that he does not want her to take.  The life of a star is not what it used to be and there is so much corruption, he said.

Moin said that the personal life of a star should be kept private and the media should respect that. He said that he does not pay attention to any of the rumors that are repeatedly created about him regardless of their nature.

According to the internet website MBC.net, Moin revealed that Jerusalem holds a very special place in his heart, and he dreams of the day that it is liberated from Israeli occupation and he is able to visit. He added that his ongoing support to the Palestinian cause was behind his ban from singing in Egypt during the regime of ousted Egyptian President Husni Mubarak.

Moin denied allegations that he refuses to sing in the Egyptian dialect.

Moin said that his new album is ready in terms of selection of songs and composition, but production company ‘Rotana’ is not ready to present the album, leading to disputes between them. Moin said that he is willing to renew his contract with ‘Rotana’ if he is given the right offer and treatment, but the policies and procedures the company is implementing are not a good indication.
