Egyptian director Hani Khalifa is preparing for the first stages of filming for new movie, Cairo Mecca, but he only has eyes for one leading lady. Hani told reporters he had picked actress Muna Zaki even before she agreed to come on board.
The actress and wife of Egyptian funnyman, Ahmed Hilmi, has recently been battling rumors of a divorce on the cards. But she has a long list of great dramas behind her, making her perfect for the role.
The title of the film has already caused confused as the Holy City of 'Mecca' is in Saudi Arabia but the movie is set in the Egyptian capital. Director, Hani, says he never meant to upset anyone - 'Mecca' is actually the name of his female protagonist rather than the setting for the film - he told reporters.
