Lebanese singer Myriam Fares revealed some of the dark secrets of her childhood during her appearance on the show 'Ana Wel Asal' (Me and the Honey). Myriam said that she had it tough as a child because her father was a gambling addict. The star told viewers, as tears streamed down her face, "My father was a gambler and I consider this to be a disease that caused me and mother great pain. My mother repeatedly tried to keep us away from such scenes even though my father is the kindest man in the world, but his addiction was out of his hand."
Myriam said she was sent to boarding school because of the family problems she had at home but refused to go into any more details about her childhood.
Nishan asked Myriam about the criticism she has been receiving for flaunting her assets but Myriam said she was proud of her appearance and had nothing to feel ashamed about because it was how God made her. The star revealed that some female reporters were so convinced she had had plastic surgery that they asked to touch parts of body during interviews. She told viewers she'd agreed to this on one occasion just to prove that she was surgery-free.
