Najwa Karam insists on singing for Lebanon

The radio station Mosaic FM held a press conference in honor of Lebanese singer Najwa Karam and in the presence of the Lebanese ambassador in Tunisia, who began the opening speech of the conference by calling on all artists from around the Arab world to help the Lebanese nation that is going through devastation as a result of Israeli bombarding.

The ambassador also thanked the Tunisian president for opening a special bank account for donations to the Lebanese people and thanked all Tunisians for their support to Lebanon.

 

According to the London based Elaph, Najwa on her part expressed her sorrow at the condition her country is in and condemned Israeli for the destruction of Lebanon. She stated that she was in Tunisia to hold a number of performances in which all the proceeds will go directly to the Lebanese red cross to help all those in need in Lebanon.

 

At the conference Najwa said she will sing because she must to help her country and not for nay personal gains.  She called on all Lebanese artists to do what they feel is right to help their country whether they are inside or outside. She added that she will return to Lebanon because its her only home and her family is there and she would not think of going anywhere else.

 

Recently, her tough childhood and personal life has inspired Najwa Karam to write a special song about her mother.


The serious medical issues Najwa’s mother and father suffered led the singer go into isolation for a few days to write the new song.


The song descried as emotional and from the heart, was given to composer Wissam Al Ameer in order to release it as a single.

 

The song stresses the importance of treating one’s parents in the best way possible, and being there for them physically and emotionally. It is said the song will make people look at their parents in a different way.
