Lebanese singer Najwa Karam has rejected an offer by an Egyptian director to star in the film Nasmat Hawa (Air Breeze).
Singer Hisham Abbas was one of those tapped to costar with Karam in the film, which will be shot early next month in Europe and Alexandria, according to the UAE daily Al Bayan.
The Lebanese singer attributed her refusal to her own lack of preparedness for a big screen role, at least for now.
Karam is currently meeting with several Egyptian composers to select new songs for her upcoming and still unnamed album, which is due for release next October - Albawaba.com
